How Not To Annoy Other Players
- Don't ask for free pets, it's just annoying.
- Don't scam. Just don't.
- If someone gives you a free pet, don't push your luck and ask for more.
- Don't call someone a noob just because they don't have good pets. They could have just made a big trade, gotten scammed or hacked, be storing good pets in an alt or they might just be unlucky.
- If someone says they don't want to do a trade, don't pester them over it. Just let it go and trade with someone else.
- Different players use different value lists and some don't use value. Don't insist that your list is right, no value list is.
What To Report To Who
- Wiki report center: Report people who have broken wiki rules, or a wiki user who is a known scammer.
- Roblox report function: Roblox doesn't deal with in-game trades, but you can report people being toxic and maybe hackers too (IDK).
- BGS report form/discord (there's a link to the form in the wiki report center): Scammers, data loss etc.
How Not To Get Scammed
- Don't let anyone borrow your pets, unless you trust them. They could leave the game without returning the pet.
- Be alert when trading, especially if they ask you to add. They could switch scam you if you're not careful. A common tactic is to ask for adds, then switch the pet while you're looking for suitable adds.
- Don't cross trade. You could get banned from Roblox, and there's a high risk of being scammed.
- Be wary if someone says a trade is a W for you in value. They could be faking. If you're trading by value, keep a value list on hand so you don't get scammed.
- If someone says something like "If u give me (insert pet here), i'll give u admin", they're faking.
- NEVER tell anyone your password. You could get hacked if you do.
- If you think someone knows your password, change it immediately.
- Use an alt to store pets if you're worried about getting hacked.
- The .ROBLOSECURITY cookie can be used to bypass 2FA, so never tell anyone what it's set to on your account.
- If someone claims to be a famous developer, youtuber etc. look for the star next to their name to confirm they're not faking.
- Be wary of switch scams, look for the gold outline on shiny pets and pay attention to the confirm screen if the trade involves secrets. Look closely at a pet and know common switch scams (dementor to toxic terror, dogcat to doggy etc, see common switch scams section)
- OG snowman is a meme pet, but completely worthless. Don't listen to someone saying it's worth good legendaries, they're either joking, don't know it's worthless or trying to scam you. The same goes for the doggy.
- Be wary if a trade involves either party trading more than 8 pets.
- Even if another player says someone can be trusted, be careful. They could be an alt or friend helping a scammer.
Common Switch Scams
- Dogcat or bruh to doggy.
- Rainbow gryphon or rainbow overlord to rainbow serpent.
- Diamond overlord to diamond serpent.
- Dementor to toxic terror (not very common due to dementor's rarity, but good to know anyway).
- Toxic demon to toxic shock, uranium hybrid or 700M encryptor.
- Frost sentinel to fox mutant.
- Catmouse to mouse.
- 2018 serpent to obsidian serpent.
- Immortal one to light demon or valentine shock.
- Giant choco chicken to chocolate chicken.
- Radiance to radiant protector.
- Dark guardian to uranium hybid.
- Dark lord to dark omen.
- Lord shock to summer serpent or infernal master.
- Patriotic robot or patriotic penguin to patriotic octopus or patriotic marshmallow.
- King doggy to summer doggy.
- Earth champion to toxic demon.
- Toxic shock to 700m encryptor.
- Angel of darkness to god tamer.
- Godly gem to ruby gem.
- Leviathan to crystal demon (again, not very common due to leviathan's rarity, but good to know as people often overpay for rare, limited secrets).
- Giant pearl to platinum overlord.
- Overseer or ultimate clover to crystal defender.
- Midas to ancient hydra.
- Partner unicorn to atlantis pegasus.
- Fallen angel to sea phoenix.
- OG overlord to dual lord.
- Duality to gloom split.
- Shiny and/or mythic of any pet to a normal of that pet, possibly changing it to a worse pet in the process (eg shiny dogcat to normal doggy).
